Hello, everyone I am Chifumi Maeda, a Japanese female president living in Bangkok.
Thank you, guys, for visiting this
“True comments from Japanese female presidents living in Thailand” blog.
What I want to tell you today is “Salabran” where serves lunch good for our health.
The lunch is called “Fermented Lunch”.
The name says it all,
The “Fermented Lunch”, eat to be healthy.
And yes, you’ve guessed it.
This place is where they have the Enzyme Bath that I wrote about the other day.
Reservation only, but they serve good lunch.
And they do lunch box delivery as well.
During the No-Dining-In time due to COVID,
I lost my count how many lunches they have delivered to my home.
It’s not just a lunch ladies & gentlemen.
But it’s Fermented Lunch.
Some time ago when I was having lunch here,
2 ladies at the next table were saying to each other,
Seasonings such as soy sauce, miso, salt koji (salt-marinated rice malt) are fermented foods that
you can find in some supermarkets,
but here in this place, the owner Kumi-san’s homemade.
I often see her making the salt koji at the corner of the shop.
She starts from the scratch, from the rice malt…
This cheese cake-ish cake is just at the right sweetness.
What you see at the very front is a jam.
A plum jam made from plums harvested in Chiang Mai.
You will be pleasantly surprised to know that
the sourness of the plum goes very well with the “cheese cake”, yummy yummy.
When I come here for Enzyme Bath, which is mostly on Saturday afternoons.
And what I always do is, have tasty Fermented Lunch before my Enzyme Bath
and after I finished my bath, have the “cheese cake” to make my weekends happier.
The lunch is no way a small portion but strange enough,
I feel hungry again when the dinner time approaches…
I chew food well, very well just like what my mom always told me to,
but probably the lunch is light and easy to digest as it is made from fermented foods.
Take nice and relaxing Enzyme bath and have delicious Fermented Lunch.
I am trying hard (?) he he he… to keep myself healthy from both inside and outside.
I think that the lunch alone is worth you trying. (but don’t forget to reserve)
