that flows directly from the source in the Krabi province where I am very satisfied with. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natural Onsen Hot Spring at Wareerak – Straight from the Source<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As you may all know, we Japanese are crazy about Onsen.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although I\u2019ve been living here in Thailand for a quite some years now, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

but under my bronzy tanned skin, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I am still a Japanese girl coming from a snow country in Japan <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

and still loves to bath in a nice and warm Onsen where clouds of steam surrounds me.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Thailand is a country with shower culture, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

not many people take bath and quite often, there is no bathtub in many apartment rooms.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I, as a matter of fact, love to dip myself in bathtub, <\/span>and I do so every day. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

So obviously, our unit has a bathtub and if and when we need to move, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

we look for a unit with bathtub. With bathtub is a must for us.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And as I\u2019ve mentioned already, I am an Onsen lover\u2026. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when the Onsen that I\u2019ve managed to visit is the one with the hot water flowing directly <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

from the Onsen spring, my heart and mind is dancing up in the air with the clouds of steam. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many many Onsen in Japan but even in such Onsen country, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

bathing in the Hot Spring where water is flowing directly<\/span> from the source is rare. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if and when there is one of such, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

the hot water directly gushing out from the source could be boiling hot or much too cold <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

to enjoy the blessing of the nature as it is and they need to added with cold water <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

or reheated to raise the temperature of the original water.  <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resort are very large and there are hot springs everywhere.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If you are living in Thailand, I am sure you know that there are Onsens in Chiang Mai, <\/span>the north of Thailand, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

and in Kanchanaburi, the eastern part of the country. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

But unfortunately, there are just a handful of Onsen here that have accommodation facility and even <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

if they did have the facility, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

it is often just a room for sleeping and not really for spoiling yourself with relaxing Onsen weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, have I got news for you! I found a satisfying Onsen resort in Krabi province <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

where the province we only know for good beach resorts.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beach itself is also something of must enjoy as it is a famous beach <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

that was the movie location site for a film called \u201cThe Beach\u201d starring Leonardo DiCaprio. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Onsen I am taking you today is about 50km away from the beach, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

in the jungle deep into the mountain.  <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next to the premise locates Klong Thom Hot Springs, a National Park (with Onsen). <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very famous place with nickname of Emerald Pool.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is so deep into the jungle and nature; you may get a surprise visit by monkeys. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in the dark of the night, you will see many fireflies flying in tranquility. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will also see so many birds that you could never have a chance to see in Bangkok, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

so if you are, of even if you are not a birdwatcher, you will be very happy that you are there. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/span>And tadaaaa, finally here you are at the Onsen. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The water is clear and has no smell of sulfur. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the water from the spring is good for drinking. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is amazing because even in Japan, the Onsen country, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

there are not many Onsen springs that we can drink from. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, the water is flowing directly from the source of the spring! <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 3 separate springs here and the water temperatures are 25<\/span>\u2103, 35\u2103, and 45\u2103. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From my experience, in the day time when the sun is at high and the atmosphere temperature is hot, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

it is good to sit in 25\u2103 Onsen but in the evening when it gets cooler, 45\u2103 Onsen is good to be in. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The water temperature fluctuates with the changes of the atmosphere temperature. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As there are tables and sunbeds, go into reading on sunbed or enjoy your lazy time of do nothing. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or, munch on the snacks and fall into sleep with fulfilled tummy and empty mind.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We stayed in a Bamboo Cottage without aircon system installed.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is quite hot in the day time but soon after sundown, <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

the temperature gets quite low and it can be a bit too cold to sleep with the windows open. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve stayed here 3 times already and when I was here in March, it was 21<\/span>\u2103 in the morning.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, it is very nice feeling to take the first dip alone early in the morning <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

in the clouds of steam when people are still in their dreams!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we talk about Krabi, we are mostly talking about the beaches <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

but, I strongly suggest you to, for once, enjoy the other side of the island, the Onsen, for change.   <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

and the humidity is not so high, so it is easy to spend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In late April, the number of cloudy days gradually increases,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and the rainy season gradually begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
