SUSTANIA Organic Restaurant<\/span> a pioneer organic restaurant in Bangkok is <\/p>\n\n\n\n

what I\u2019d today like to talk to you about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is so famous, so much so that no Japanese wives that live in Thailand <\/p>\n\n\n\n

do not know about the restaurant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the organic shop may be is more well-known than the restaurant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ok, so let me begin talking on SUSTAINA Organic Restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

History of SUSTAINA Organic Restaurant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SUSTAINA’s Journey to Organic Dining<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The shop is run by Harmony Life International Co., Ltd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And is consisting of the following 3 forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1999, Mr. Oga a capable trading house employee at the time <\/p>\n\n\n\n

started the business from scratch, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

i.e. from the soil making aiming for harmony between people and nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past, human being were only about themselves, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

without any consideration for the other living creatures around them such as the birds, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the fish and the plants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is for this reason that we have destroyed our natural surroundings <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and in so doing causing the rivers to become polluted, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the soil to be destroyed by chemicals <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Synthetic Substance, Surfactant Substance, and so on.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These chemicals become absorbed into many of the products <\/p>\n\n\n\n

which are consumed by humans, and these causes many diseases <\/p>\n\n\n\n

we commonly see around us such as allergies, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the viral infection and skin disorders etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Oga probably do not remember me at all however, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

it was in the year 2000 before I started my own business, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

we had common friend who I often had conversation <\/p>\n\n\n\n

with in his Japanese restaurant that he was running at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I remember him talking passionately about farming with his deep tanned face, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

every time I eat at the SUSTAINA Organic Restaurant.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Atmosphere at SUSTAINA Organic Restaurant<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

SUSTAINA Organic Restaurant is located on the 2nd<\/sup> floor of the organic shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seats are just about 40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consisted from tables for 2 and tables for 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They have baby chairs for those who come with little children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside of the restaurant is wood tone, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

very calm atmosphere and the sunlight from outside makes the space bright.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tasting SUSTAINA: The Organic Food Experience<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Meals are based on the principle of local production for local consumption, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and most of the ingredients are from Thailand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it is an organic restaurant, they basically do not use any pesticides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

And the seasonings that they use are carefully selected and natural salts and <\/p>\n\n\n\n

unbleached sugar are used and of course, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

they use no chemical seasonings or preservatives.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant offers dishes using natural meat and fish, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and the vegetables are from their own farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dishes of SUSTAINA Organic Restaurant are colorful and beautiful <\/p>\n\n\n\n

to look at and every dish stimulates our appetite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are over 50 different dishes and also A la carte menu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The set menu comes with rice or bread that you can choose from. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foods at SUSTAINA Organic Restaurant are seasoned just right, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

bringing out the natural taste of ingredients <\/p>\n\n\n\n

thus from a child to an elderly person, everyone can enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of so much menu, I would personally recommend \u201csoba noodles\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are so many Japanese restaurants in Bangkok <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and restaurants specialized in soba are also a lot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I prefer SUSTAINA Organic Restaurant than those specialized in soba because the taste is better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can buy soba at the organic shop on the 1st<\/sup> floor, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and I make it a rule to buy them every time when I am there at the shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the SUSTAINA Organic Restaurant, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

they serve both non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I often order \u201cGinger Soda\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have weak bronchi and am prone to catching colds, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

so I try to eat ginger as much as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What catches everyone`s eye is the \u201clime\u201d that is in the drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The diameter of a lime is normally about 3cm <\/p>\n\n\n\n

but this one is grown with no pesticides and is as big as one`s palm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It looks almost like a \u201cPomelo\u201d from its size but it tase as a lime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pricing at SUSTAINA: Understanding the Budget<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Set menu and drink will cost you around 500 baht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desserts are available from 40 baht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lunch and Dinner price are same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pros and Cons of Dining at SUSTAINA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Benefits of SUSTAINA’s Organic Menu<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can eat healthy meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Considerations Before Dining at SUSTAINA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It may be full depending on the time of day. (Reservation recommended.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

as the dishes are gently seasoned, some people think that it is unsatisfactory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Closing time is quite early. (Closes at 20:30)<\/p>\n\n\n
