Hello, everyone I am Chifumi Maeda, a Japanese female president living in Bangkok.
Thank you, guys, for visiting this
“True comments from Japanese female presidents living in Thailand” blog.
I’d like to talk to you about 3 Onsen located in the City of Bangkok.
I am a person who sits in bathtub every day. Yes I love bathing.
The best one in Thailand, if you ask me, would be the one in Krabi that I wrote about the other day however,
it is rather far away from Bangkok….
But do not be discouraged, there are 3 places that you can go now and enjoy the facility
and the atmosphere of Japanese Onsen here in Bangkok!
I have been to all the 3 Onsen myself and I go there quite frequently.
So, let me tell you about each one of them today.
Yunomori Onsen & Spa: A Comprehensive Review in Bangkok
This is the one that taken people by storm to spread the Onsen boom here in Bangkok.
They have 3 branches in Thailand and also a branch in Singapore.
In Thailand, one is located in A Square on Soi 26. The second one is on Sathorn Soi 10.
And the third one is in Banglamung district in Pattaya.
Take a step inside and you will see what you see in local Japanese onsen facility.
Man and Women facility is separated.
You will get a locker key at the reception and I proceed to ladies bath facility.
After passing through the noren-curtain, you will come to changing area.
Thailand do not have the culture to go into Onsen bath naked therefore you will receive disposable bathing wear.
I, as a Japanese person, do not have the culture to take bath in a bathing wear,
I go in naked as all the people in Japan do.
My Thai friend that I was with at the time felt embarrassing to show her naked body to other people,
she wore a bathing wear.
The towels are to be used at free of charge.
We put our clothes in the locker and, onsen bath, here we come.
This place has rather a smaller size locker compared to the other 2 facilities that
I am going to tell you later about.
Inside of the bathing facility area, there are place to wash your body, a bathtub, mist sauna, and dry sauna,
The bathtub is filled with the natural onsen (hot-spring) water that came gushing out from
Wat Wangkanai in Kanchanaburi province as well as a Soda bath and Jet bath.
The temperature of the water is about 37℃ – 43℃ and it differs depending on the bath you choose to bath in.
You can also take a walk outside where they have garden bath.
There is also massage facility as well as a facility to have meal.
Let’s talk about Pros and Cons of Yunomori Onsen & Spa.
Benefits of Visiting Yunomori Onsen & Spa in Bangkok
Sathorn Soi 10 branch has Japanese Garden as well as Drink Bar for you to spend an entire day there.
Rental disposable bathing wear available if you are embarrassed being fully naked.
Sukhumvit Soi 26 has a large parking area.

PANPURI WELLNESS: In-depth Review of Onsen in Bangkok
Onsen managed by the Thailand proud spa brand “Panpuri”.
Actually, I always come here after visiting shrine to “pay my respect”.
PANPURI WELLNESS is located on 12th floor of Gaysorn Plaza and in this Gaysorn Plaza,
there stands the statue of Lakshmi and every time I visit the god to pay my respect,
I come here to have a bath.
PANPURI WELLNESS has massage area and yoga studio in addition to its bathing facility
and you can also enjoy healthy juice and meals too.
As it is managed by PANPURI, you can of course pick up Panpuri brand products.
The bathing tub is separated for man and woman. And there is also Private Onsen.
Changing room is the smallest of all the facilities that I am writing about this time and
therefore it can be crowded with people attending the yoga classes depending on the time of the day.
The facility has dry sauna, mist sauna, Jet bath, and Soda Spa as well as 2 kinds of Special Onsen.
It was famous “Hot Spring of KUSATSU ONSEN” from Japan when I was there then.
The temperature is between 37℃ – 43℃ and Kusatsu onsen’s temperature was kept at 43℃ which I found rather hot.
Because the distance between washing area and the tub is close from each other,
you can see people washing themselves while you are relaxing in the tub, it was a bit uncomfortable.
Amenities such as shampoo and conditioners are all from Panpuri of course.
You will bath in a disposable bathing wear when you go into the tub.
As it has direct access from BTS Chidlom and thus very convenient,
it has international atmosphere of all the Onsen that I am writing today.
Let me share Pros and Cons of PANPURI WELLNESS with you here.

Let’s Relax Onsen and Spa Thonglor: Detailed Review of Sukhumvit’s Onsen
This is the Onsen that I come the most from all the facilities that I am writing today.
The Onsen that I’ve wrote about earlier aren’t bad at all but,
this one has the most complete bathing facilities and has the biggest area of all.
When I have a business traveler coming over and take them here, they would love it.
This Let’s Relax Onsen and Spa Thonglor gives you the feeling as if you were in Japan.
It is totally a Japanese Onsen (We call it SENTOU in Japan).
Let’s Relax is a massage chain store and there are 18 shops in the City of Bangkok alone.
They are also in Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Hua Hin and Krabi in Thailand
and also expanding to abroad such as Myanmar, China, and Cambodia.
The Onsen facility in Bangkok is in Thonglor.
You can also enjoy massage after relaxing in onsen.
The Thonglor branch is located on 5th floor of a hotel called Grande Center Point Sukhumvit Thonglor
which is in between Thonglor soi 10 and soi 8.
The 5th floor is the facility from Let’s Relax and the differences with others are;
And I think it is a great deal that you can use bedrock bath
covered with Pink Salt wall which is included in the bathing fee.

Dear Khun Sanjeev Kumar
Thank you for your comment.
I have no chance to visit “Let’s relax Onsen Pattaya” yet, because I didn’t visited Pattaya more than 1 year.
I think they opened quite new. (a few month ago)
I ever visited “Yunomori Pattaya”, also nice place.
If, you will visit “Let’s relax Onsen Pattaya”, please tell me about how was it.
Thank you again.
Hi, thanks for your review.
I plan to visit Bangkok next November.
So, as far as you can see, the majority of visitors at Yunomori Onsen are not completely naked (wearing bathing wear) ???
I think I will feel uncomfortable if fully naked is not mandatory when in onsen area.
Thank you for your comment.
Yunomori Onsen can wear disposable shorts.
Enjoy your trip to Thailand
