Stock.Room Restaurant Review: El Sabor de Kimpton Latin Brunch Experience
At the entrance,
there is an arrangement of various types of flowers and amethysts,
symbolizing the diversity of South America.
Upon entering,
you will immediately feel the warm and inviting atmosphere
that exudes vibrancy and vitality.
It’s really hard to believe that you can find such an atmosphere in the heart of Bangkok.
When you arrive at your table,
you’ll find the a la carte menu, which you can order at any time.
The front page features the restaurant’s signature dishes,
highlighting the restaurant’s culinary specialties.
On the back is the soft drink and alcoholic beverage menu,
which can be ordered throughout the three-hour meal.
The a la carte menu I chose had two items.
The dish I chose is from the category of Argentine grilled meats
called “Asados Argentinos fillete de falde”.
It’s a steak, specifically a vacío cut,
that’s grilled over low heat and then diced.
The meat is cooked to medium rare with a pinkish center.
It’s incredibly tender and bursts with the full flavor of the beef.
This dish is served with chimichurri sauce,
a South American sauce made with finely chopped parsley,
garlic, olive oil, oregano, and a touch of red wine vinegar.
It’s known for its tangy, herbaceous flavor
that perfectly complements the grilled meat and is absolutely delicious!
The next dish I ordered is “Langosta Al Pastor”,
which is fresh lobster slow roasted with a mix of dry Mexican chiles,
ancho, guajillo, morita chile, negra salsa,
and smoked grilled pineapple slices, all served with tortillas.
This dish was my favorite.
The combination of the rich Mexican spices,
the incredibly tender lobster, and the smoky grilled pineapple slices
creates a burst of delicious flavors on the palate.
It’s truly a culinary sensation!
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try the other items on the menu
because it would take too long.
If I get another chance,
I guarantee I will try every item on the menu.
Next, I’d like to take you all on a journey to explore the various menu items
the hotel has prepared for us to enjoy,
in addition to the a la carte menu I mentioned earlier.
I must say that there is a wide variety of self-service menu items available,
ranging from appetizers to main courses, desserts, bakery items,
soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages.
It’s a truly delightful and reasonably priced experience!
The food offerings are divided into five zones,
and I’m going to take you to the first zone,
which is ARGENTINE ASADO.
In Argentina, meat is a way of life and the country
has a long tradition of being a meat lover’s paradise.
Argentina is known for its high quality grass-fed beef
and has a special reputation as one of the world’s leading beef producing nations.
With the tantalizing aroma of slow-cooked parrilla (grilled) meats
paired with chimichurri herb sauce,
Argentine open-fire cooking is considered
one of the most sublime grilling methods in the world.
This area is dedicated to Argentinean grilled meats.
The featured dish in this zone is “Salmon A La Parrilla”,
which is half a salmon grilled to perfection with spices.
Next in this section, you’ll find a delicious selection of grilled meats,
including lamb, beef and seafood.
Sounds like you’re in for a real treat!
In this area you’ll find a kitchen that serves a la carte menu.
The next zone is ITALO-ARGENTINO.
Argentine cuisine is a beautiful fusion of cultures
with a rich history of diverse influences.
One of the most important movements
in its culinary history was the significant migration of Italians to Argentina
in the early 20th century.
During this time, Italian food became an integral part of Argentine cuisine.
This zone offers dishes such as ravioli, pizza, puff and baked bread.
Moving on to the next zone, PERUVIAN-JAPANESE “NIKKEI”.
In terms of cuisine,
Peru is a melting pot of flavors and ingredients not found elsewhere.
It showcases a variety of local ingredients
combined with culinary techniques from around the world.
Nikkei cuisine is a fusion that
seamlessly blends the culinary traditions of Peru and Japan.
It combines the delicate and imaginative aspects of Japanese cuisine with the bold,
lively and spicy flavors of Peru.
The food is fresh, delicious, with excellent flavors,
and it’s great to know that there are no overpowering odors.
As I selected and admired the menu,
I enjoyed a delightful dining experience with soothing music in the background.
It is like a truly memorable meal!
Next is the CARIBBEAN zone.
Caribbean cuisine is known for its vibrant and diverse flavors,
often influenced by Europe, India and South America.
The beautiful Caribbean region includes many island nations.
However, Caribbean cuisine also has its own regional specialties,
consisting of locally grown or harvested ingredients found throughout the islands.
Caribbean seafood dishes consist of a variety of oysters, mussels,
mantis shrimp, prawns, river prawns,
Pacific shrimp, clams, crabs and fish,
served with a delicious dipping sauce,
it’s no wonder you will enjoy this zone so much.
It is certainly a seafood lover’s paradise!
The Thai Food Zone offers a variety of Thai dishes,
especially Hot Pot (Tom Yum),
and comes with a selection of delicious dipping sauces.
It’s a must-try experience.
Moving on to the final zone, the Mexican Cuisine zone:
Mexico is home to some of the richest restaurants in the world,
and Mexican cuisine is one of the most popular in the world.
It combines ancient techniques with a fusion of local ingredients and European influences.
With its vibrant colors and diverse flavors,
Mexican food is known for its outstanding taste.
It ranges from complex dishes to simple but beautifully presented meals.
You’ll find Mexican appetizers and snacks in this zone.
It is an amazing dining experience with a wide variety of Mexican dishes,
offering both familiar and the entirely new options.
I can guarantee that the Mexican cuisine here is absolutely outstanding.
Next, I will take you to the dessert area.
I must say, the desserts here are absolutely delicious,
like being in a dessert lover’s paradise.
There is a chocolate room, an ice cream zone,
sorbets and crepes that you should not miss.
Next, I will introduce a beverage zone that everyone should not overlook.
Drinks here include soft drinks and alcoholic drinks.
Beverages include fruit juices, a variety of soft drinks,
fermented teas, and sodas.
But what I really want to recommend is the alcoholic beverage zone.
I haven’t drunk alcohol in a long time.
But this time is an exception.
If you don’t drink, you’ll regret it for the rest of your life.
It’s better to go to the first zone.
The alcoholic beverage zone here offers several types,
including Class Latin Cocktails & Signatures,
wine, boozy slushies, draft beer, and bottled beer.
There are also Latin-style spirits such as Jose Cuervo, Corona,
and Botanist Islay Dry Gin.
Next, I’ll enjoy the dishes I’ve chosen.
Since there’s a wide variety of food,
I can’t eat everything, even though I’m really disappointed!
Unfortunately, my stomach can’t hold everything.
However, I’d like to recommend the flavors of the dishes I’ve chosen.
I tantalize the taste buds with my dish,
Chilpacholemiriscos, a Mexican seafood soup.
It’s a soup that, when eaten, exudes the essence of the ocean.
It’s both sweet and savory, with incredibly fresh seafood.
It’s absolutely delicious.
The next dish is grilled pork with crispy nachos, guacamole, and a tangy sauce.
This dish is ravioli stuffed with ground beef,
served with tomato and pesto sauces and garnished with basil leaves.
The pasta is cooked al dente and the beef filling is flavorful and aromatic.
Together with the tomato sauce,
it provides a refreshing and delicious taste.
This dish is the Fugazetta pizza with ham and cheese puff and ground beef puff.
The pizza dough is a delicious homemade style,
while the front part of the pizza is filled with cheese and onions,
providing sweetness, richness and aroma.
In the puffs, the outer part is crispy,
contrasting with the moist and flavorful filling.
It’s absolutely delicious and not tiring at all.
The seafood here is incredibly fresh,
and I can enjoy it without ever getting tired of it.
As for the various Argentine-style grilled meats,
I’m very impressed.
Normally, with such large pieces of meat,
you might expect them to be a bit tough,
but they are incredibly tender and just melt in your mouth.
The lamb is not at all gamey, and the squid is moist.
The shrimp retains its freshness and sweetness.
The Japanese dishes here are a must-try too!
The Salmon Sashimi is incredibly fresh with sweet and large pieces of fish.
And the sushi, especially the Nigiri, is just amazing.
It feels like you’re eating in Japan!
When I’m tired of savory foods,
I often turn to desserts!
Let’s explore the world of sweets, starting with pastries!
I chose these 3 desserts:
They are chocolate croffles,
raspberry croissants and the denis macadamia croffles are crunchy,
fragrant, with butter and chocolate drizzled to cut through the delicious flavor.
The raspberry croissant is crispy and crumbly.
The sweet and sour raspberry cream filling is delicious and unforgettable.
As for the denis macadamia,
there are raisins inside inserted along the rings of the dough,
contrasting with the sour taste
and caramel that is topped with crunchy macadamia nuts.
Next is the dessert and chocolate menu.
Regarding desserts, I especially like this place and have eaten here before.
The afternoon tea includes cherry flavored panna cotta.
With a fragrant cherry scent from the cherry jelly on top.
The panna cotta has a sweet, creamy texture.
It’s delicious and unique.
The selected macaroons have a chocolate taste.
Get the taste of intense chocolate.
Next is the lemon flavor.
Perfectly balanced between sweet and sour.
The churros here are also famous because when they are freshly fried,
they are crispy and then dipped in vanilla sauce.
With chocolate, let me tell you, it’s unforgettable.
They have their own chocolate bar here.
It’s like walking into a chocolate factory.
Next is ice cream.
I chose the scoop of blueberry yogurt flavored ice cream.
But what I’m most impressed with is the ice cream scoop.
This type of ice cream, called Chupaletas,
is a Mexican-style homemade ice cream
made from 100% natural ingredients that are specially selected.
The red color is strawberry flavor and the orange color is orange flavor.
I ate 2 strawberries.
It makes me feel fresh and delicious,
incredibly tasty, truly living up to the phrase ‘less is more’.
Next, I would like to recommend various alcoholic beverages.
The menu is called Coronarita and has Corona,
Tequila, lime and Margarita Slushie.
When you drink it, you get the taste of tequila and beer.
I think it is very strong.
If you drink the whole glass, you might fall asleep.
Next on the menu is The Botanist Gin & Tonic.
It’s a mix of The Botanist Islay Dry Gin with Fever Tree Premium Tonic and soda.
Add beauty with rosemary and lemon.
This glass is easy to drink and chill. Personally, I prefer this drink.
