Hello, everyone I am Chifumi Maeda,
a Japanese female president living in Bangkok.
Thank you, guys, for visiting this
“True comments from Japanese female presidents living in Thailand” blog
Today I would like to introduce you to Spa by Le Meridien Bangkok.
I was told that the spa at Le Meridien Bangkok had built a private Onsen facility,
and as a Onsen lover, I was eager to try it out.
It was my first time there. I became a fan and vowed to come back.
Now I would like to tell you about it.
Top Luxury Retreat in Bangkok: Private Flow Onsen at Le Meridien
How to Book and Arrive at Le Meridien Bangkok’s Private Flow Onsen
This time I took advantage of the GoWabi promotion.
I love using GoWabi to search for different spas, especially hotel spas that I visit frequently.
I purchased a 60 minute private Onsen and a 60 minute Aroma Massage course.
Reservations can be made by phone, email or LINE, and in my case I contacted them LINE.
The reservation went very smoothly.
Spa by Le Meridien Bangkok is located on the 6th floor of Le Meridien Bangkok.
It is approximately a 6 minute walk from Sala Daeng BTS or Si Lom MRT.
Free parking for cars is available.
Enter the hotel lobby and take the elevator to the 6th floor.
The sixth floor is dedicated to wellness, including a spa, pool and gym.
The spa has white stone all over the walls, creating an original yet modern atmosphere.
I love looking at hotel interiors and this spa was very creative.
Entrance of Spa by Le Meridien
While you wait, you can relax with a cold drink.
On the day I visited, it was a Butterfly Pea drink.
The drinks served have the name of the drink and its benefits written on them,
and it is very enjoyable just to read about the benefits.
It was very interesting to see the different drinks served at the different spas.
Luxury Services Offered at Spa by Le Meridien Bangkok
Spa by Le Meridien Bangkok offers packages ranging from two to six
and a half hours, massages,
facials and onsen services.
All courses are offered in private rooms.
Treatment rooms include single and couples rooms.
The treatment room has a shower stall, closet, and dresser,
but only the toilet is missing,
which was a little inconvenient.
I booked the Onsen and Aroma Massage course,
but you can use the Onsen first and then the Aroma Massage,
or you can do the Aroma Massage first and then use the Onsen.
Personally, I recommend that you first go to the Onsen to warm up and relax your body
and mind before receiving a massage.
Experiencing the Private Flow Onsen at Le Meridien Bangkok
First, I was so satisfied with this Onsen experience that I think it is one of the best in Bangkok.
Reservations are required. There is only one room available at this spa.
At first, the staff will explain how to use the hot spring in advance.
Onsen is a completely private space with a maximum of two guests.
There is more than enough space for two people.
Once inside the private onsen room, the onsen facilities are divided into a changing room
and an onsen area, and the changing room also has a sink and mirror.
I brought my own makeup remover,
so I removed my makeup at the sink before going to the Onsen area.
When you first enter the Onsen area, you will see a large bathtub and Japanese pine trees.
To the left is the washing area,
where visitors wash and clean their hair and body before soaking in the bathtub.
The washroom is inspired by Japanese Onsen.
It has a relaxed atmosphere with the warmth of wood.
The entire hotel is air-conditioned,
and the Onsen area is also quite air-conditioned.
Some people may feel cold.
The water temperature in the showers was not very hot,
and a little hotter water would have been comfortable.
The Onsen is very spacious, more than enough for two people.
When you sit down, the water is as deep as your collarbone,
which is great for the Japanese,
who are in the habit of soaking in hot water up to their shoulders.
You can stretch out your arms and legs. You can relax and enjoy.
However, the water temperature seemed low to me.
Probably around 38 degrees.
However, I was glad that the low temperature of the water
allowed me to take a long, relaxing bath.
If the water had been over 40 degrees Celsius,
I might not have been able to take a long bath.
Cold drinking water and cold towels are provided in the Onsen area.
The towels smelled of peppermint and were very refreshing when placed on my forehead.
Onsen lasts 60 minutes,
and although I thought 60 minutes was a long time at first, the time passed quickly.
I dried my hair in the dressing room,
put on a bathrobe, and a brief moment of relaxation passed.
This event reminded me that a relaxing bath is not only good for your health,
but also for your soul.
This time I experienced it on my own,
but next time I would definitely bring my husband with me.
