Hello, everyone I am Chifumi Maeda, a Japanese female president living in Bangkok.
Thank you, guys, for visiting this
“True comments from Japanese female presidents living in Thailand” blog.
Let me talk about a French restaurant “Lyon French Cuisine”
This restaurant is the one we went the most until Cagette Canteen & Deli
that I wrote about the other day.
Exploring Lyon French Cuisine: Menu Highlights and Unique Features
This Lyon French Cuisine is located on the left side inside of on Soi Ruamrudee standing quietly
so if you didn’t know about the restaurant, you will be sure not to notice it.
While modern French restaurants are being newly open recently,
this French restaurant is well accepted for cherishing the tradition,
meaning that you can here have traditional French home cuisine.
The restaurant is serving traditional French cuisine for 20 over years here
on the Soi where a Thai-national chef is displaying its traditional French home cooking skill
since the opening and staffs
there are experienced and professional as well serving the customers
since the opening of the restaurant.
My top recommendation of the restaurant is stew,
especially the Veal tongue and Normandy style Tripes à la mode de Caen and
of course the mussels steamed in a white wine.
They are all very good.
Ambience and Seating: A Look Inside and Outside Lyon French Cuisine
The restaurant is standing on the corner of Soi 3.
But you need not to walk into the Soi 3 because it is facing Soi Ruamrudee .
The restraint is in a single-standing house and the interior is so gorgeous.
There are table with a sofa seat facing its back to the wall for 2 person and few regular table seats.
There are also private room there that can be set for from 4 person to 24 person.
The restaurant is regularly visited by Thai national customers and sometimes,
there comes some members from the Royal Family as well as government officials.
And of course, the reservation is a must.
The restaurant has its own wine cellar
but you can also come with some of your favorite wine to go with the foods and,
Whoaaaaa, no corkage fee!

Dress Code Guidelines for Lyon French Cuisine
The restaurant has a very gorgeous atmosphere but you need not to be in a full dress.
Some customers come in a jacket and some in a polo-shirts.
However… I wouldn’t recommend you to come in in your shorts
because no one there comes in that casual.
There is no strict dress code and smart casual will just be fine.
I am in a suit when coming here straight from my work and
in a normal one-piece dress when coming on private base.
And the restaurant is well air conditioned,
if you are not good in dealing with cold climate,
I would recommend you to bring a cardigan.
Ideal Occasions to Dine at Lyon French Cuisine
As the interior is gorgeous and service is in a calm atmosphere and you can relax,
I would say it is ideal for a business lunch or dinner,
or when you want to take your special someone on a date.
There are also people with family enjoying the cuisine there
so it can actually be in any situation.
I come here to enjoy the cuisine with my hubby, my customers,
and with my good friends.
I take my customers who
do not want to enjoy French cuisine
in a not too casual place yet not too luxurious
but want to sit and dine in a well serviced restaurant
And they will love the restaurant
when I take them to this Lyon French Cuisine restaurant.
And if you want to take someone on a date,
you can be sure that you scored a good score.
They serve lunch sets as well so maybe it’s a good idea
to visit there on lunchtime to check it out.
